CSIRO's
Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) is an organisation
that
supports and undertakes research in radio astronomy. It operates the
Australia Telescope, the collective name for a set of radio
telescopes in New South Wales. These telescopes are used, individually
or together, to study objects in the Universe ranging from
the remains of dead stars to entire galaxies.
The missions of
the Belgian Federal Science Policy office are
exercised on three levels: scientific activities, technical activities
and cultural
activities. The Department of Space Research and Applications of the
Belgian Federal Science Policy office is in charge of managing
the Belgian (public) participation in R&D activities carried out by
industry and Belgian scientists in space-related matters. These
activities are
conducted primarily within the framework of the international
organisations to
which Belgium belongs (e.g.: the European Space Agency (ESA), the
European organisation for the exploitation of meteorological satellites
(EUMETSAT), or

The Carnegie
Institution of Washington is a private, nonprofit
organization
engaged in basic research and advanced education in astronomy, the
earth sciences, and biology. It comprises five research campuses,
including
the Observatories, the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism, and the
Geophysical

ESRIN is one of
the four establishements of the European
Space Agency. ESRIN's main activities are centered on the acquisition,
archiving and dissemination of data from Earth Observation missions in
particular ERS-1 for which it is responsible for operating the
ground infrastructure needed. ESRIN's main function is as the Agency's
data handling and dissemination centre, being at the forefront of
technologically advanced information systems.
ESO, the
European Southern Observatory, is a multinational organisation
of
eight European member states. It operates astronomical observatories in
Chile
and has its headquarters in Munich, Germany.

ESOC is the
satellite control centre of the European Space
Agency (ESA). It is responsible for the operations of all
satellites and related ground stations and communications network.
Finland Tekes,
the National Technology Agency is the main public
financing organisation for research and development in Finland. As part
of its international commitments Tekes coordinates and finances
Finland's participation

ISSI is an
Institute in Switzerland at which scientists from
different countries can work together. Its main task is to
contribute to the achievement of a deeper understanding of the
results from space-research missions, adding value to those results
through
multi-disciplinary research in an atmosphere of international
cooperation.
The
International Space University is an interdisciplinary,
intercultural and international
institution preparing individuals to respond to the current needs and
the increasing and evolving demands of the space sector, through
multidisciplinary education and research programs.
IVS is an
international collaboration of organizations which operate or
support Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) components. IVS
provides a
service which supports geodetic and astrometric work on reference
systems,
Earth science research, and operational activities.
The SSB is an
advisory board within the National Research
Council, which is in turn the operational arm of the
National Academies of Sciences and Engineering. The SSB operates a
number of standing committees and task groups that perform studies
in space science and policy for the federal government.
NASA Langley
Research Center in Hampton, VA, has been established
in 1917 as the first national civil aeronautics laboratory. NASA
Langley has become a world-class center for aeronautics, earth science,
space technology and structures and materials research.

involved or interested in the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration

The Stichting
Ruimte Onderzoek Nederland (SRON) is a foundation within
the framework of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research
(NWO).
Its mission is to initiate, to develop, to build
and to use internationally outstanding instruments for scientific
research in

The Norwegian
Space Centre is a foundation cooperating closely with
the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The centre guides ESA
contracts strategically. Public fundings are utillized to support the
development
of Norwegian industry and for development and demonstration of space

Institute (IKI) is primarily in charge of long-range planning

The Centro para
el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial acts as the
Spanish Delegation to ESA, and is responsible for the follow-up
to the participation of Spanish industry in European space programmes.
